Hole 9

There are many reasons that this is the number one handicap hole. The toughest hole is all about the drive. Up the left center of the fairway is ideal but too far left will find you are blocked by the trees. Those who drive it too far right will reach a fairway drop-off, leaving you a tough side-hill lie with either a long iron or a fairway wood. Classic Ross, this large green is elevated, cannot be seen from the fairway and features a false front. A par is a wonderful score here - and the green is only a dozen yards from the Halfway House and libations aplenty.
